Job summary

Prince Telecom, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II in the Kansas City area to fuse optical fibers and maintain telecom networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure standards are met.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain medical card.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers and document daily work and materials usage.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles; preserve maps and material records.
