Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer II to install and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections. This role is based on-site in the Tucson area and involves aerial and underground work, with opportunities for growth within a field service team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid State driver's license (not provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• DOT physical exam clearance with a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Mid-sheath fibers for entry on loose tube or fiber sheaths.
• Cut away the sheath from existing cables to reach faulty connections, and remove sheath and insulation from newly installed cables and wires.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
