The role involves performing aerial and underground splices to ensure reliable connections. You will test and activate circuits, troubleshoot post-installation issues, and document work in daily reports.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age and work authorization in the United States.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience required.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• DOT physical exam must be passed resulting in a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot post-installation circuits.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance of vehicles and document work in reports.
• Maintain accurate material usage records and maps.
