Job summary

Rightfiber is seeking a Fiber Splicer to splice, terminate, and test fiber, coaxial, and copper for new construction and service installations. The role requires reading schematics, performing fusion splices, and maintaining splice closures according to industry standards.

You will travel to customer sites and Ritter Communications locations, collaborate with landowners and providers, and participate in on-call and maintenance windows as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5 years telecom construction/maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years fiber splicing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards (RUS/NEC/FCC/OSHA/DOT).
• Ability to read fiber schematics and splice reports.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate and test fiber, coaxial, and copper for new construction and service installations.
• Prepare cable and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground installations.
• Inspect and maintain splice closures, terminations, and protection equipment.
• Travel to customer sites and Ritter Communications locations as needed.
• Maintain records of field activity and participate in on-call rotations.
