Job summary

Velox is hiring a Fiber Splicer to lead high-level splicing projects and maintain fiber optic networks across the Southeast, including the Montgomery area.

You will terminate and test networks, splice cables, perform OTDR tests, troubleshoot enclosures, and provide accurate project tracking. Travel is required as needed to support teams and client sites, with opportunities for growth in a safety‑led, values‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Terminate and test fiber optic networks according to engineered drawings (including aerial, underground and ISP networks)
• Prep and splice all cables, enclosures and racks
• OTDR testing, power meter, and identify and label cables/terms
• Troubleshoot enclosures and perform audits on various splicing projects
• Provide accurate and up-to-date project tracking information and production sheets
• Communicate with project engineers, managers and general public
• Help other team members with advanced splicing or project challenges
