MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Fiber Splicer to build end-to-end fiber optic networks and ensure high-quality, safe installations. This role involves testing continuity, operating splice and testing equipment, and preparing splice enclosures at outdoor sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
• Safety-focused and quality-driven mindset.
• Willing to work outdoors on utility sites and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networks.
• Operate all testing equipment and resolve common fiber problems.
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.).
• Use fusion splicer and OTDR, including 1310/1550 DWDM/CWDM testing.
• Apply fiber design knowledge, read documentation and assess light levels.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
