Job summary

Prysmian is hiring Production Line Operators in Claremont, NC. Join a climate-controlled cleanroom environment and support 12-hour day or night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will safely operate equipment, follow work instructions, and meet production and quality standards.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some manufacturing experience helps. The role offers benefits, paid holidays, and growth opportunities in a global leader in cable technology.

Qualifications

• Safety, PPE and regulatory compliance expected depending on position.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Basic reading of measuring devices (metric ruler) may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Ability to safely work around hot glass, sharp glass, and equipment.
• Follow all work instructions to meet production and quality standards.
• Stoop, bend, stand or sit as needed to reach product (up to 12 hours).
• Maintain full range of motion for manipulation of product and equipment.
• Ability to life 50 lbs independently.
• Compliance with safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements.
• Walk stairs repeatedly and stand on concrete for long periods.
• Work mandatory overtime when required.
• Maintain reliable attendance.

Starting rate: $20.50/hr

• $2 night shift differential
• $1 after 6 months (step progression)

Overview

Prysmian is growing and expanding- Claremont Fiber, will be interviewing for Production Line Operators. From optical and copper cables and optical fiber to connectivity components and accessories, we’re helping to link communities, continents, and countries faster and more efficiently than ever.

Hiring for day or night crew positions (depends on business needs):

• 12-hour Night Shift: 6:45pm - 7:00am
• 12-hour Day Shift: 6:45am - 7:00pm
• Rotating schedule with every other weekend off on a 2-2-3 shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience, preferred
• Some manufacturing experience, preferred
• Must be able to successfully complete the background check and pre-employment drug testing

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to safely work around hot glass, sharp glass, and equipment
• Ability to safely follow all work instructions to meet all required production and quality standards of work.
• Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working (up to 12 hours)
• Ability to have full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers for manipulation of product and work equipment
• Ability to safely life 50 lbs. on your own
• Must be compliance to all safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements deemed necessary by position
• Walk up and down stairs repeatedly
• Stand on concrete for 12 hours or more
• Able to work mandatory OT when required
• Reliable attendance
