Job summary

Prysmian Group's Claremont facility seeks a developing leader to join the engineering department. The role focuses on evaluating, troubleshooting, and driving process control and improvements for optical fiber manufacturing.

You will work daily with process data, analyze trends, and lead projects to enhance yields and productivity. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree with 1+ year in a complex manufacturing setting, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proven communication abilities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Glass, Ceramic, or Metallurgical fields.
• Minimum 1 year in a complex manufacturing process or internship in such an environment.
• Ability to understand complex process flow and machinery.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing processes daily to identify trends and issues; provide urgent and important solutions.
• Lead the process area responsible for yields, documentation, procedures, data tracking, and innovation.
• Prioritize issues to impact process yields and productivity meaningfully.
• Develop performance indicators weekly/monthly to ensure quality and targets.
• Perform root cause analysis on trends, equipment issues, and process drifts.
