Job summary

Prysmian Group's Claremont fiber manufacturing plant in the United States seeks a highly motivated process engineer to support optical fiber production. You will evaluate, troubleshoot, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams to analyze large data sets, develop performance metrics, and implement corrective actions to improve yields and quality. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand complex process flow and machinery.
  • Desire to become a subject matter expert in the assigned process area.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks for short/long-term initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor manufacturing processes daily to identify trends and issues.
  • Be the leader in the process area responsible for yields, documentation, procedures, tracking data, and technical innovation.
  • Prioritize issues to make meaningful impacts on the process yields and productivity.
  • Develop or maintain performance indicators weekly/monthly to ensure quality targets.
  • Perform root cause analysis on trends, equipment issues, and process drifts.
  • Collaborate with engineers at other Prysmian plants to resolve problems and implement improvements.
