Socket Fiber is seeking a Plant Service Laborer in Missouri to support an outside plant crew with installation, repair, and maintenance of underground fiber utilities. This entry-level role involves manual labor, loading, digging by hand, and assisting the equipment operator under supervision.

No prior experience required, offering a strong starting point for a career in fiber construction. You will work outdoors, follow safety procedures, and help keep the jobsite organized and efficient while

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn safe jobsite practices and basic field crew coordination.
• Previous labor, construction, landscaping, telecom, or outdoor field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and move tools, materials, and equipment to and around the jobsite.
• Dig and backfill holes by hand to support boring and repair work.
• Assist the equipment operator during drilling and boring operations.
• Follow supervisor directions to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Keep the site clean, organized, and hazard-free each day.
• Follow Socket safety procedures and local regulations.
