Future Infrastructure in Converse, TX is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician to join our on-site field crew. You will perform fiber optic splicing, fusion, and termination for new installations, maintenance, and repairs on telecommunications networks.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; additional fiber optics training preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of fiber optic splicing and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of fiber optic standards, codes, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic splicing, fusion, and termination for installations and repairs.
• Prepare and splice fiber cables including ribbon and single-mode types.
• Install splicing enclosures and related components at job sites.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting using OTDR and power meters.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports.
