Job summary

Communication Construction Group, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer in Gibsonia to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot circuits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role involves heights, field work, and manual tasks; a valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT medical exam are required. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license with clean driving record
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications
• Pole climber certification is preferred, or ability to demonstrate proficiency
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground under guidance
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network after installation
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate work at various heights, from underground to aerial locations
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks
• Document work via daily production reports, map markings, and material usage records
• Other duties as assigned
