Qualifications

• Education: Vocational training or an associate degree in telecommunication, electronics, or a related field is often preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience: in fiber splicing, telecommunications, or related fields is highly desirable, but not required.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role.
• Work Ethic: Must have a strong eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Working with clients to plan installations, installing aerial and underground cabling, and pulling it through conduits.
• Follow blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure correct installation.
• Provide detailed production forecast and updates to project management teams.
• Maintain accurate production statuses and statistics in the project management platform.
• Troubleshooting problems on existing network lines and providing 24/7 emergency response support.
• Maintain and calibrate splicing equipment and tools.
• Documenting installations and test results.
• Oversee health & safety programs, ensuring compliance with state/local/DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Work with permitting agencies and inspectors; travel up to 75%.
