Job summary

Logix is seeking a Manager, Network Engineering in Houston to lead the Network Engineering team, drive major projects, migrations and outages, and partner with leaders to ensure reliable, scalable IP/MPLS and optical networks. The role focuses on BGP, MPLS, ROADM/DWDM and carrier Ethernet across Juniper, Cisco, Nokia and Ciena platforms.

You will manage budgets, evaluate new technologies, develop implementation plans, and mentor staff while ensuring strong collaboration with other departments

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of ROADM and DWDM fiber optic networks.
• Advanced MPLS knowledge including LDP/RSVP-TE and VPNs.
• Hands-on BGP with route policy, peering and troubleshooting.
• IS-IS/OSPF experience in large networks.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Ciena platforms.
• Ability to analyze telemetry, logs and routing tables.
• Strong written/oral communication; project/documentation experience.
• College degree or 15+ years in a major area.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage all Network Engineering projects.
• Lead capacity planning and weekly capacity reports.
• Evaluate/test new technologies; provide executive recommendations.
• Coordinate daily work with engineering staff and analytics.
• Develop budgets and cost-benefit analyses for networks.
• Oversee lab testing and production docs.
• Attend cross-department meetings; drive change management.
• Recruit, hire and develop Network Engineering staff.
• Oversee on-call escalation and performance reviews.
