Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Network Connectivity Engineer (Fiber Optic Layout) to design and deploy high-bandwidth data center connectivity. You will architect scalable fiber networks for hundreds of thousands of GPUs, coordinating with optical, mechanical, and software teams to push performance beyond current limits.

The role requires fabrication and test experience, vendor management, and the ability to travel ~40% to support deployments and cutovers across multiple sites in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center connectivity design.
• Experience with multimode/singlemode fiber, copper and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to travel ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan scalable data center connectivity for large GPU clusters.
• Plan and procure fiber, copper, and other connectivity materials.
• Provide project management and oversight for connectivity scope on new builds.
• Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and SOPs for deployments.
• Release and troubleshoot ISP circuits across regions and coordinate with providers.
