Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Sr. Facilities Operations Technician for our supercomputing data centers. You will operate and maintain critical MEP systems, including HVAC, power, and environmental controls, ensuring peak reliability.

The role involves mentoring junior technicians, leading scheduled shutdowns, and supporting commissioning efforts to accelerate our AI initiatives. Applicants should have aBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or 6+ years of hands-on facilities work,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of hands‑on facilities experience in data centers.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to document procedures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical MEP systems in data centers with hands‑on maintenance and optimization.
• Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, power, and environmental controls; mentor junior technicians.
• Oversee infrastructure maintenance, lead a team to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance with local/regional requirements.
• Provide operational expertise for MEP systems; manage pumps, chillers, CRACs, wiring, generators, UPS, switchgear.
• Inspect areas regularly to ensure performance and proactively report problems.
• Experience with writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.
• Daily inspections of critical systems; maintain spare parts inventory.
