Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems in residential and commercial settings. You will troubleshoot signal issues, educate customers, and document all work with attention to safety and quality standards.

Travel between job sites is frequent; you will work with dispatch and field leadership to ensure on-time completion and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Strong oral communication and customer service skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a team.
Commitment to safety policies and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

Install and repair fiber optic cables for internet, voice, and video services.
Troubleshoot, inspect, and replace damaged or degraded fiber components.
Monitor signal strength and diagnose connectivity issues using testing equipment.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
Educate customers on services and assist with setup of customer-owned devices.
Coordinate with dispatch and field leadership to manage work orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of job site before and after work completion.
Adhere to safety policies and use hand and power tools appropriately.
Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Follow proper ladder and climbing procedures when accessing rooftops or poles.
