Job summary

Viaero Fiber is expanding its fiber optic construction crew and seeks both entry-level and experienced Construction Techs to ensure quality and reliability of our network. You will join a field team responsible for installing, burying, and pulling fiber, with opportunities to grow skills in the fiber industry.

The role requires physical work outdoors, willingness to travel, and the ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening. We offer competitive pay and year-round opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fiber optic or utility construction is preferred but training is available.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license; 21+ and/or CDL endorsement is a plus.
• Able to perform physical tasks: walking, stooping, crouching, lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Willing to travel for extended periods (overnight and weekly stays).
• Pass pre-employment checks including background, MVR, and substance screening.

Responsibilities

• Install new fiber optic network facilities (underground or aerial).
• Excavate, vaults/handholes/manholes, marker posts as needed.
• Place fiber in conduits and document progress.
• Move equipment and materials between projects.
• Assist with inventory yard cleanup and support other fiber teams.
