Job summary

IPG Photonics, through IPG Medical, seeks an assembler for 1st shift to build fiber‑optic components for high‑powered lasers. The role involves hands‑on assembly, working with microscopes, and following precise procedures while standing at a workstation.

You will use bonding materials, operate test equipment, and maintain cleanroom standards. The job requires 1–2 years of related assembly experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related assembly experience.
• Microscope experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, kit, install, and assemble components of fiber‑optic medical products.
• Operate manufacturing test equipment including fiber‑optic strippers and cleavers, power meters, oscilloscopes, laser test stations, RFID readers, and microscopes.
• Wear cleanroom attire and work in a controlled manufacturing area with coats, hair/beard nets, gloves and booties.
• Meet production metrics as defined by the Supervisor.
• Perform basic setup and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
