Job summary

You will follow a 7-step fiber process and read blueprints to ensure accuracy, while maintaining safe work practices. Responsibilities include identifying proper tooling, recording production data, and assisting with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and interpret dimensions accurately.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Safety-conscious with excellent attendance.
• Able to work with various assembly constraints and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fiber optic products to correct length, shape and orientation using hand and air-powered tools.
• Follow the 7-step fiber assembly process: De-reel, Prep, Connect, Scribe, Polish, Test, Label.
• Identify and select correct tooling/hardware with guidance from lead/supervisor.
• Report and document material, production, and quality control issues.
• Participate in equipment preventive maintenance at the operator level.
• Read blueprints and perform in-process inspections for correct specifications.
• Move materials safely with pallet jack; maintain a clean, organized area per 5S.
