Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly or related technician work.
• Hands-on fiber optic splicing experience including cable prep, termination, and testing.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering tools, and basic mechanical assembly.
• Formal fiber optic certification (CFOT or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical products and subassemblies per drawings and work instructions.
• Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing to build and repair assemblies.
• Perform low-voltage wiring and basic soldering; install connectors and route cables.
• Document test results, record results accurately, and report discrepancies to supervision.
• Operate test equipment and run scripted procedures; identify and correct simple failures.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 5S and safety guidelines.
