Job summary

SpaceXAI’s Memphis data center seeks a Manager, Fiber to lead and oversee fiber optic installations, maintenance, and optimization. You will guide technicians, ensure safety standards, and sustain ultra-high-speed connectivity for AI training and operations.

You will collaborate with foremen, project managers, and superintendents to deliver reliable fiber infrastructure and maintain detailed documentation while mentoring staff and enforcing quality control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center fiber installation and maintenance in Tier 3/4 facilities.
• 1+ years leading or supervising fiber optic teams in a commercial/data center environment.
• High school diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Lead Fiber Technicians and Fiber Technicians in datacenter fiber work.
• Oversee all phases from planning to testing, handover, and documentation.
• Ensure a safe, productive, high-quality, compliant work environment.
• Develop sensor indicators, inspection protocols, and maintenance routines.
• Direct troubleshooting, splicing, and installation of fiber optic systems.
• Manage inspection, replacement, and optimization of fiber infrastructure.
• Monitor signal strength and system performance; resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate system records and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades for coordinated work.
• Provide training, feedback, and QA across all fiber work.
