Job summary

North Central Telephone Cooperative, Inc. seeks an Install & Repair Technician to serve our Tennessee and Kentucky service areas.

The role installs and maintains broadband, video, VoIP and data services, configuring equipment for fiber and hybrid networks at customer premises. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2 years of telecom experience, plus certifications like Network+, CCNA, A+, and Security+.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of advanced voice and data telecommunications education or equivalent work experience.
• Two years’ experience installing and maintaining voice, data and subscriber services and related equipment.
• Preferred certifications: Network+, CCNA, A+, Security+, and pole climbing certification.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and services customer broadband, video, VoIP and data services.
• Installs and configures equipment to deliver digital/hybrid/fiber services at customer premises (ONTs, routers, surge protectors, etc.).
• Performs initial wiring or rewiring and remote troubleshooting as needed.
