Job summary

Fiberlight is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead field operations for fiber optic network projects. You will manage field technicians, contractors, and vendors, guiding OSP and ISP initiatives from permitting through construction and testing.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and cost-estimation skills, with a focus on safety, budget adherence, and timely delivery. This on-site position coordinates with municipalities, DOTs, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management or telecom.
• Experience in telecom, utility construction, or fiber network operations.
• Strong leadership, PM, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; GIS/OSPInsight experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service personnel, contractors, inspectors, and vendors.
• Oversee OSP/ISP construction projects from permitting to as-built.
• Coordinate with permitting agencies, municipalities, and DOTs.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Manage labor/material requisitions and prepare contractor pay apps.
• Develop cost estimates for network expansion and construction.
• Support network planning, engineering, and design initiatives.
• Direct safety/compliance and provide leadership and training.
