Job summary

Project Resources Group, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Fiber Designer to produce constructible fiber network designs for broadband clients.

You will handle Outside Plant FTTH projects and MDU/MXU work from base data to a complete design package for contractors and clients. You will use CAD and GIS tools, maintain splice matrices, prepare permit drawings, audit designs against client standards, and contribute ideas to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fiber design experience in OSP/FTTH or MDU/MXU
• Experience with Esri/ArcGIS is required
• Proficiency with CAD/GIS tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Design FTTH OSP networks (aerial, underground, boring, micro-trenching)
• Design MDU/MXU fiber layouts including entry, risers, paths, and unit connectivity
• Produce and audit design packages: drawings, BOM, scope, and client deliverables
• Build splice matrices and connectivity records
• Prepare permit drawings and support ROW/easement requirements
• Use field data to develop and correct designs
• QC work against client standards and respond to comments
• Support as-built updates and maintain design records
• Suggest process and tool improvements
