Job summary

Davalyn Corporation seeks a Field Applications Engineer to install, commission, and optimize fiber laser cutting systems at customer facilities. The role involves hands-on configuration, parameter tuning, and ensuring peak machine performance, with extensive customer interaction and travel.

You will train operators and maintenance staff, troubleshoot a range of issues, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and service teams to drive continuous improvement and successful production handoffs.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience supporting fiber laser cutting systems in applications engineering or field service roles.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
Experience installing, commissioning, and optimizing fiber laser equipment in customer environments.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and start up fiber laser cutting systems at customer facilities.
Configure and optimize machine settings for quality and productivity.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and laser process issues on-site and remotely.
Train operators and maintenance staff on operation, programming, preventive maintenance, and best practices.
Prepare detailed service reports and installation documentation.
