Job summary

Sarabi Studio LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Fiber Laser & CNC Press Brake Operator to join our on-site metals shop. You will load materials, verify programs, adjust settings, and run the fiber laser and brake to produce architectural components for buildings.

You will nest for efficiency, read shop drawings, perform first-article checks, and maintain tooling and preventive maintenance. This full-time role offers $25-30/hr, Mon-Fri with occasional overtime, health insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on operating a CNC fiber laser.
• Able to adjust cut parameters by material and thickness (power, speed, frequency, focus).
• Experience with nesting/CAM software for efficient part layouts.
• Experience cutting mild steel, stainless, and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Run fiber laser daily: load material, verify programs, set gas, monitor cuts.
• Nest jobs for yield and cut time; manage remnants and order sequencing.
• Operate CNC press brake: select tooling, run programs, verify bends.
• Read shop drawings and ensure tolerances; flag drawing errors before cutting.
• Perform daily/weekly machine maintenance and inspections.
