Job summary

United Communications in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring an Installation and Repair Technician to install and repair telephone, high-speed internet, and digital TV services for residential and business customers. You will troubleshoot, document work orders, and build strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time, on-site role includes a company vehicle after training and a Sunday-Wednesday schedule, with a sign-on bonus up to $2,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in telecommunications.
• Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
• Valid TN driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required.
• Proficient in PC software installation, support systems, email, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair connections, upgrades, and relocates for telephone, high-speed internet, and Digital TV customers.
• Install copper and fiber drops, network interface devices, ground wires, in-home wiring, and set-top boxes per standards.
• Configure customer equipment to connect to the internet and IPTV service; connect consumer electronics.
• Maintain records and complete work orders for accurate documentation in the customer’s account.
• Prepare and organize stock for company vehicles and ensure safe operation and brand standards.
