Job summary

AtBigham Cable Construction, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Fiber Installation Technician to set up and maintain fiber optic networks in outdoor environments. You will install and troubleshoot equipment, ensure ongoing connectivity, and assist customers in understanding service usage.

This hands-on role requires working in all weather conditions, physical effort, and willingness to travel. A valid driver’s license and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment
• Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires working in all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind and other inclement weather. Must be comfortable performing hands‑on, physically demanding work in an outdoor field environment.
