Job summary

The Fiber I&R Technician/Field Technician position is based in Ville Platte, LA, and will involve installing fiber optic internet services for residential and commercial customers. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring travel as needed and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred; paid training offered.
Must have own vehicle and basic tools; lifting up to 80 lbs.
Pass background, MVR, and drug tests; flexible with overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
Ensure internet, phone, and TV services meet performance standards.
Complete pre-install work orders and post-install verifications; educate customers.
Install interior/exterior wiring and place aerial or buried fiber drops.
Adhere to safety rules and OSHA regulations; work at heights and in confined spaces.
Coordinate with teammates and communicate professionally about products and services.
