Job summary

CITADEL is seeking a Construction Technician to support the BEAD Project across the island. The role is a minimum of one year, reporting to the Outside Plant Supervisor, and covers island-wide external plant maintenance and extensions.

Responsibilities include installing and running new cable lines, handholes, fiber blowing support, securing lines and hardware, and clearing vegetation around cables. Requires HS diploma/GED, driver’s license, and 2+ years construction experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a valid chauffeur's license.
• At least two years of relevant construction work experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and run new cable lines, microducts, and conduits for both underground and cable plants; this involves digging groundwork.
• Install handholes.
• Assist in fiber blowing activities.
• Secure fiber lines, cable lines, and hardware.
• Clear vegetation encroaching on cable lines and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
