Job summary

Yoh Services LLC in Bettendorf, IA is seeking a mid-level Telecom Field Technician to troubleshoot, install, and maintain critical telecom infrastructure for clients. This full-time, permanent role combines hands-on work with cutting-edge technology to keep networks up and running.

You will work flexible hours, including on-call shifts, with opportunities to use OTDR, Ethernet tools, and fiber optics skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical training.
• Background in wiring, alarm systems, or related technical fields.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as OTDR, OSA, DS1/3, Ethernet tools.
• Strong PC skills and excellent oral and written communication.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to multi-task and remain composed in demanding environments.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a dedicated Telecom Field Technician. • Fiber optics splicing and maintenance skills
• SS7/STP support familiarity

Preferred Education and Experience

• College or technical degree in a related field
• Prior experience with telecommunications equipment installation, troubleshooting, and network restoration

Other Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, including call‑ins and emergency support
• Willingness to participate in a rotational on‑call schedule for network monitoring and support
