Job summary

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives seeks a Broadband Drop Technician to safely construct and maintain aerial and underground fiber drops for the FTTP network servicing homes and businesses. You will prepare routes, verify conditions, and ensure correct burial depths and clearances.

The role requires working with members to protect property, following safety procedures, and collaborating with fiber teams to support timely service activation and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in construction/utility install work preferred.
• Ability to read maps, staking sheets, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Installs aerial and underground fiber drops from the distribution network to homes and businesses.
• Reviews work orders, maps, and site conditions before installation.
• Maintains safety practices and uses PPE in all tasks.
• Coordinates with members or property owners on routing and entry locations.
