Qualifications

• Experience in fiber drop bury, underground utility, or telecommunications construction.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read and follow service drop work orders and job instructions.
• Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship.
• Physically demanding work including digging and lifting.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic drop lines from network terminals to customer premises.
• Perform trenching, hand digging, and conduit placement for fiber drop installations.
• Utilize equipment such as vibratory plows, trenchers, and hand tools.
• Ensure proper placement and protection of fiber and conduit during installation.
• Perform site restoration, including replacing soil, sod, and landscaping as required.
• Identify and avoid existing underground utilities by following locate markings.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
• Maintain job documentation, photos, and work completion reports.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and field conditions.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
