Job summary

TAK Broadband is seeking a horizontal directional drill operator in Arizona, with travel to surrounding areas including Sedona. You will operate drilling equipment, perform pilot bores and conduit placements, and ensure safety on live utilities projects.

Requirements include 1+ year directional drilling experience, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and willingness to work flexible hours. Possession of CDL Class A is preferred; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of directional drilling experience.
• Strong communication with locators and crews.
• Understanding of drill mechanics and soil types.
• Willing to travel and work outside business hours.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work outdoors.
• Pass pre-employment checks (MVR, background, drug screen).

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling equipment and support vehicles on assigned projects.
• Perform pilot bores and pull back cable along underground routes with teams.
• Complete drilling with live utilities in standard and high-risk areas.
• Transport equipment and materials to job sites.
• Maintain safe work sites and restore surfaces after work.
• Record daily bore logs and progress reports.
• Ensure 811 safe digging compliance and safety standards.
