Job summary

SB&O Inc. is seeking a Fiber Project Manager to lead end-to-end fiber deployments spanning OSP and ISP components. You will develop schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and risk assessments while coordinating with utility partners and internal teams to ensure milestones are met.

The role requires PMP certification and a background in civil or telecommunications engineering, with strong knowledge of California utilities and permitting processes. OTDR familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• PM certification and civil/telecom background required.
• Experience with California utilities and permitting processes.
• Familiarity with OTDR and power meter readings.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of fiber deployment projects (OSP/ISP).
• Develop schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and risk assessments.
• Conduct recurring project meetings with clients, utility partners, and internal teams.
• Oversee route analysis, make ready requirements, splicing plans, and ISP integration.
• Coordinate permitting with utilities, municipalities, and state agencies.
• Provide leadership to contractors and internal support teams.
• Maintain documentation and closeout packages per standards.
• Develop progress reports, dashboards, and client communications.
