Job summary

VI Communications is seeking Low Voltage Telecommunications Technicians to design, install, and maintain data, voice, and fiber networks. The role covers testing, certification, and adherence to quality and safety standards on both copper and fiber optic cabling.

Candidates should have telecom experience, read schematics/blueprints, and be proficient with testing tools; readiness for background checks and TWIC card may be required, with a focus on safe, quality work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in telecommunications or related fields.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with copper & fiber optic testing equipment and hand tools.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, Troubleshoot and repair Telephone, Data and Fiber Optic Cables.
• Installation of Surface Mount Raceway.
• Test and certify cables with Level V test equipment.
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
• Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test, background check and MVR check.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
