Globe Communications in Young Harris, GA is seeking a Copper Splicer II to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services through skilled splicing and repair work.

You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and ensure adherence to customer and industry standards while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of copper splicing experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet standards and safety protocols.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Document daily work and material usage.
