Job summary

Douglas Fast Net in Oregon is seeking a fiber construction technician to join our underground drop crew. This role involves heavy physical labor and safe operation of underground equipment such as vibratory plows and trenchers.

You will read construction prints, troubleshoot on-site issues, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Willing to obtain a Class A CDL within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools for site prep, trenching, backfilling, and cleanup.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Read construction prints and follow engineering documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE to minimize hazards.
• Maintain equipment, report issues, and support customers with service.
• Be team oriented and ready for after-hours work when needed.
