Job summary

TDS Telecom is hiring for a Horizontal Directional Driller - Fiber Construction to help expand our fiber network in Wisconsin. Based in Plymouth, Sheboygan, or Fond du Lac, you will operate HDD equipment and help install and maintain buried and aerial fiber facilities while participating in safety and training programs.

This full-time, year-round role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and potential incentives for meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in construction or utility work.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal directional drill or locate for the drill.
• Install, maintain, test, and repair buried and aerial fiber lines.
• Climb poles, ladders, and structures; operate bucket trucks.
• Support fiber splicing and repair activities.
• Restore job sites and label project markings.
• Ensure safety protocols and accurate documentation.
