Job summary

GTS is seeking a Fiber and Cable Installation Technician (1099) in Spartanburg, SC. You will install, repair, or disconnect fiber and cable systems in homes, test connections, and handle outages with safety in mind.

No prior industry experience required; must have high school diploma or GED, own vehicle and equipment, pass drug and background checks, and be insured and bonded. Local travel required.

Qualifications

• Able to pass drug and background screening.
• Insured and Bonded; vehicle and required equipment.
• Able to travel locally to service locations.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines for ladder, pole, and roof work.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
