Job summary

GTS is seeking a Fiber and Cable Installation Technician in Spartanburg, SC to perform residential and small-business installations, service upgrades, and disconnects. You will travel locally to service sites and work with fiber and coaxial systems, testing connections and addressing issues.

Strong safety focus and ability to follow directions are required. No prior industry experience is necessary, but you will learn on the job and support customers with professional, friendly service in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Willingness to travel locally for service locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
