Job summary

GTS is seeking a Fiber & Cable Installation Technician for Greenville, SC to install, repair, and disconnect cable and fiber services for residential and commercial customers in the Greenville area.

You will test connections, perform routine maintenance, document field notes, and provide friendly customer service while following safety guidelines. Occasional local travel and working outdoors in varying weather are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Experience with live utilities and field tasks preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
