Job summary

Great Plains Communications is expanding its team in the Omaha Metro area and is looking for experienced Broadband Technicians. You will install and repair internet, phone, and TV services for both businesses and residential customers while ensuring exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have 1-7 years of relevant experience and be able to work rotating weekend shifts. We offer a competitive wage, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1-7 years of related experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate bucket trucks.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, splicing, and repair of services over coax, copper, and fiber systems.
• Maintain mainline coax and fiber systems.
• Deliver outstanding customer support and promote company products.

Skills

Basic knowledge of electronics

Testing equipment (e.g., EXFO Light meters)

Strong verbal/written communication

Troubleshooting

Customer relations skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Tools

Fiber fusion splicing

Volt-ohm meters
