Job summary

Samtec is seeking a Manufacturing Production Operator – Fiber Attach for its Colorado Springs, Colorado location. This first-shift role runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., offering a starting pay of $20.25 per hour plus a potential $0.50 quality bonus for weeks with no quality rejects. Compensation also includes Samtec's annual Tiger Cash bonus program and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and a 401(k), plus PTO and other voluntary

Qualifications

• One year production/manufacturing experience required.
• Must adhere to department safety rules and wear protective gear.
• Hazardous Materials & Chemicals handling precautions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Heat strip, cleave and inspect fiber.
• Attach optical cable to connectors.
• Perform measurements, alignment and testing of optical cable.
• Read, comprehend and build orders from blueprints and PICS.
• Maintain in-process workflow in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers (written and verbal).
• Suggest ideas for improved processes and tooling.
• Pay attention to detail in all tasks.
