Summary

Responsible for the manufacturing of connector assemblies, cable assemblies and cable. This includes but is not limited to operating wrappers, braiders, extruders, presses, soldering equipment, measuring tools, and testing equipment.

Work Hours and Benefits
  • Monday-Friday 6 am–2:30 pm
  • Standard benefit offerings include medical (HSA/PPO), dental, vision, group life, AD&D, short and long term disability, PTO, vacation, EAP, 401(k). 401(k) match: Samtec matches up to 5% of the associate’s contribution and contributes another 7% for profit sharing; up to 12% of the associate’s gross pay annually. Additionally, Samtec offers nine paid holidays annually plus paid vacation and personal days.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Understand and operate production machinery.
  • Efficiently read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Read assembly drawings and manufacture parts accordingly.
  • Monitor quality of both raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain all production paperwork, including quality assurance and efficiency information.
  • Set up and make minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Perform processes associated with assembly of connectors, attaching connectors to the cable and cable manufacturing.
  • Test cable and assemblies using network analyzers and TDR’s.
  • Perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities as requested.
Required Experience
  • Physical: Capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  • Lifting: Light work – Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • Atmospheric: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training Required
  • On the job training as appropriate.
