Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking an Assembly Technician in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves hands-on fiber assembly on a prototype product line, using microscopes and precision tools in a lab/manufacturing environment.

You will rotate across stations to build the full product end-to-end and receive six weeks of paid training if you have no fiber/cable experience. Strong documentation and instruction-following abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with biomedical, medical device, electronics, electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical, fiber or cable manufacturing/assembly is acceptable.
• Comfort using small tools: crimpers, cutters, microscopes, calipers, tweezers.
• Ability to follow written instructions and document work accurately.

Responsibilities

• 6 weeks of paid training if no fiber/cable experience.
• Perform hands-on fiber assembly on a prototype product line.
• Use microscopes, crimpers, stripping tools, epoxies, and precision assembly equipment.
• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks at stations.
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and SOPs.
• Document production results, measurements, and build notes.
