Job summary

Preferred Behavioral Health Group is seeking a licensed therapist to join the Center for Children and Families in Brick, NJ. This fee-for-service position offers flexible scheduling with supervision provided and starting rates dependent on licensure.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing individual, family, and group therapy, and ensuring timely documentation across traditional offices and community sites.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling required.
• Clinical licensure (LAC/LSW; LCSW or LPC) with 2 years' experience with children.
• Trauma-informed care experience and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and formulate diagnosis; preliminary treatment planning.
• Provide individual, family and group therapy to assigned caseload.
• Complete mental status exams and provisional diagnoses; develop treatment recommendations.
• Maintain timely progress notes and medical records for each client contact.
• Provide case management and coordinate with other services as needed.

Job Description/Summary

Individual needs of persons served are addressed including assessment and evaluation, referral, follow-up services, individual, group, and family therapy. Clinicians shall provide program services in locations that meet the needs of the persons served including traditional offices, residence, and community resource sites

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, formulate diagnosis and preliminary treatment plan:Diagnosis is congruent with assessment content.
• Assessments will be thoroughly completed in compliance with organization policy.
• Written assessments include mental status examination, provisional multi-axial diagnosis, and preliminary treatment plan with recommendations for ongoing treatment.
• The preliminary treatment plan addresses immediate, emergent needs of the client. Recommendations include identification of special treatment needs or referral of high-risk clients.
• Provide individual, family and group therapy to assigned caseload:
• Progress notes address treatment goals and objectives and changes in mental health status.
• Medical record contains progress notes within 24 hours for each face to face contact, telephone calls, and collateral contacts.
• Provide case management
