Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Fetal Ultrasonographer II to join our imaging team in Baltimore on a part-time basis. You will perform comprehensive fetal ultrasound exams, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation and working with physicians to interpret findings.

The role emphasizes patient safety, equipment safety, and staying current with imaging advancements through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA and/or CAAHP approved school of Ultrasound Technology.
• Registered or eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Registry in OB/GYN is required within one year of hire.
• Nuchal Translucency and Maternal Uterine Artery Doppler certification by Fetal Medicine Foundation within one year of hire.
• CPR certification.
• One year of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound studies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive fetal ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Accurately capture and document high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards related to ultrasound procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in fetal imaging.

Education

AMA and/or CAAHP approved school of Ultrasound Technology

Registered or eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

Registry in OB/GYN is required within one year of hire
