Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC seeks a qualified Sonographer specialized in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound. You will perform routine imaging per ACOG guidelines and support high-risk fetal assessments under supervision as needed.

You will review orders, prepare reports, maintain patient records, and assist with universal protocol procedures when RN is absent. Candidates must be registered or eligible and hold BLS certification. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Currently registered or registry eligible; must obtain registry within one year of hire.
• Experience with routine obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound imaging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound imaging per ACOG guidelines.
• Assists in high-risk fetal assessments under supervision as needed.
• Conducts ultrasound guidance and Doppler as appropriate.
• Reviews orders and completes requisitions in the clinic setting.
• Maintains patient medical records per policy.
• Prepares ultrasound reports for ambulatory practices.
